"I am still playing back the pieces of information that rested on me during the conference this weekend. Even after 7 years homeschooling, there was a sense of wonder ignited in me after participating in the daily events."
~ Tori, Veteran Homeschool Mom

Weekend-long connection inside The Village. It's a safe space where Black homeschool moms and families share resources, encouragement, and solutions that actually work.

A powerful live event on November 15 at 8 PM EST—where we’ll name the challenges, celebrate our wins, and lean into the power of the collective

An early look at Mosaic, our new culturally-affirming curriculum—crafted by Black educators, for Black families. (Register and you’ll be among the first to preview it in your inbox!)

How are we caring for our children’s minds and spirits?
What does it mean to raise free, confident Black learners in this moment?
And how can we make sure that we are doing this thing together?
You’ll walk away encouraged, equipped, and reminded:
You are uniquely equipped to homeschool your children
and we are in this together.
Black families have always taken our children’s education into our own hands. The Melanin Village is founded on the understanding that within loving community, Black children can receive an education that is both academically excellent and deeply affirming. In 2020, we became a gathering space for like-minded families offering training, curriculum and community.
From humble beginnings of chatting with just a few moms online, The Village has been featured on the Today Show, MSNBC, and PBS, and we’ve grown to serve thousands of families worldwide.
The Village is led by Brenaea Fairchild, Princeton-educated homeschool mom of two who believes your family shouldn't have to choose between high-quality academics and representation.
"You are uniquely equipped to homeschool your children." — Brenaea Fairchild
